If you are a member of Arizona FCU, you MUST read this link:
Arizona Federal Credit Union offers many types of loans – home loans, car loans, new car loans, used car loans, auto loans, motorcycle loans, rv loans, motorhome loans, boat loans, student loans, personal loans, consumer loans, business loans, mobile home loans, mortgages, refinance options for refinancing, credit cards, Visa credit card, Visa Platinum, personal lines of credit, home equity loans, helocs.
Arizona Federal Credit Union offers many savings products – share savings accounts, checking accounts, business accounts, investments, money market accounts, holiday savings accounts, holiday club accounts, share certificates, cd’s, certificates of deposit, investments, IRAs. Their cd’s range from 6 month to 60 months.
Some of their rates, like savings rates, and auto loan rates are not published online. Are they so low and uncompetitive that they are ashamed of their rates?
They also have online banking, online bill pay, mobile banking, car buying service, e-statements, insurance, insurance buying service, investment services, id theft protection, identity theft protection, member auto center, member discount center, gap insurance, notary service. For cash ATM access, they are a member of CU Service Centers CO-OP ATM network, with shared branching. These hyped offerings are nothing special as they can be found elsewhere without paying a forced $3 fee every month.
Be sure to read the fine print in the membership agreement and fee schedule.
Since they have an unavoidable $3 monthly membership fee, it would be better to take your business elsewhere, where you are valued, respected, and your money can grow, instead of your hard-earned money being seized from you involuntarily. Before or after you go, you should contact Ronald L. Westad – President/CEO, the Board of Directors chairperson, and the Supervisory Committee chairperson to give them a piece of your mind. Silently walking away when an institution “steals” $3 from you monthly does not send the right message. It’s important to strongly express your displeasure, to share your feedback, in the hope that eventually AZFCU will do the right thing for the benefit of society. We want Arizona Federal to cancel the $3 monthly fee, refund the $3 monthly fee that was previously charged to all current and past members, and cancel the $25 rejoining fee. Working together, we can show the credit union that there are serious repercussions for their bad behavior.
You should not condone or support a financial institution that charges an unavoidable ongoing fee, no matter what they call it, no matter how they tell you it is mutually beneficial.
